Sunrise Yoga

Welcome the day with a 75-minute traditional hatha yoga practice to warm and energise the body, focus the mind and open the heart

Jasmine offers twice-weekly invigorating sunrise classes at the Shala... followed by chai.

6am - 7.15am on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Upper Brookfield Yoga Shala.  

We practice surrounded by nature by the creek at the beautiful Upper Brookfield Shala, which is an intimate space with capacity for 10 students.

This class is led by Jasmine and based on traditional hatha yoga with a smooth flowing rhythm and devoted attention to breath and subtle energetics. Suitable for all levels (options given).

We arrive quietly (the practice of mauna – read more below) to enjoy the peacefulness of the early morning, beginning gently with meditation and pranayama, gradually building the intensity with a strong standing sequence before winding down and enjoying a deep savasana from which we emerge energised, fresh and ready to move into the day.

Men and Women are welcome to this class.

Special 90 minute session (5.45am start) next Tuesday 18th December - our last sunrise session of the year!

Afterwards chai will be served as usual, along with breakfast (bircher muesli, yoghurt - dairy and coconut options + fruit) 🍓

Tickets are $33 a- book here

$20 from each each ticket purchased will be donated directly to a Nepal foundation of which my friend Laxman (our pilgrimage trekking guide) is coordinating.

SUNRISE YOGA 2019 will kick off on 8th January when we will resume our Tuesday and Thursday classes (6-7.15am) - bookings will open soon.
