Twice a year, millions of people (mostly in in India and Nepal) celebrate the festival of Navaratri. This literally means 9 nights, and refers to 9 nights of devotion in honour of the Devi (Goddess).
I am among those millions, and invite you to join me at this upcoming Navaratri for 9 nights as the moon waxes. 🌙
I have personally been celebrating this festival bi-annually for the last twelve years now.
India is one of the only fully intact and unbroken lineages on earth that reveres the Feminine. No wonder, as a devotee of the Great Mother, I feel so connected to this place and its wisdom traditions. I wonder if you feel a connection to this living lineage of Shakti too?
During Navaratri, the energy is electric, and it is well worth carving out the space and time to bask in it!
To dedicate time each evening to tune in is a powerful way to amplify our intimacy with shakti – the sacred Feminine force. It is also a potent time for prayer and to generate blessings no only for ourselves and the ones we love, but for the world at large.
If you’re curious to read more about my own personal connection with Goddess (particularly Durga – the invincible one), and Navaratri, you might like to read this tribute and personal story I shared upon the passing of one of my dear teachers, Sally Kempton. Sally writes about Navaratri in the opening chapter of her book “Awakening Shakti”.
How it works
Three days before our 9 nights begins, you will receive further details by email about how to prepare yourself and your space for the 9 nights.
I will share with you a nightly ritual and corresponding playlist which you will complete in your own space on each of the nine evenings. There is scope to do this in your own way, and to shorten the ritual if needed (the full length version is about 45 minutes – recommended if you have or can make the time).
This will be a very “feminine” and heartfelt ritual, including movement, song (mantra) and music. On March 27th you will receive instructions on how to set up your ritual space, as well as access to our private Facebook group and chat* where you will all be invited to share your personal intentions and to meet each other.
Together, this is a very powerful ritual!
* This is a core part of of the experience, though not essential. All Zoom links, session updates and recordings will be shared here in the group. The group and chat will be open for 2 weeks in total from 27th March to 10th April.
LIVE TRANSMISSIONS
We will meet for four live calls (about 1 hour each) during the container, via Zoom, plus one BONUS day on day 10 which is known as “Victory Day”. All calls are recorded, so even if you can’t join us live, you can participate in your own time. That said, it is best that you watch the recordings as soon as possible to stay in the rhythm of our ritual, as it is time sensitive.
I will be sharing stories and the mantra of the three faces of the Goddess for you to explore in your evening ritual, as you awaken these sacred feminine qualities within yourself.

Your commitment
❀
This Sadhana is about showing up for your ritual each night (in your own time and space – the live calls will prepare you). It is intended to be an evening ritual, when it’s dark! I do it just before bed. Some women in the past do their ritual before dawn, which is okay too. Allow a minimum of 20 minutes. The more privacy you have the better. You can adjust the ritual length as needed. I like to allow myself a bit of time to sit and bask at the end of the more active part of the ritual.
This will be a powerful way to amplify intentions and prayers, whilst drenching ourselves in sweet devotion
If you need to miss a night or two due to existing commitments, that’s okay but not ideal. Ensure you can show up for your ritual at least 6 of the 9 nights
