I am between the worlds, tiptoeing in the twilight
As the silver sliver in the sky rises above the horizon
This crescent moon becomes my crown
As the Red Goddess ushers me into her realm
Deep ravines ripen in the rose of my womb,
Receiving rivers of red
I succumb to the ravishment
as this elixir of life
streams along the seams
of these luscious thighs
heavenly and earthbound
Reminding me I am not yet a mother
But a Queen;
a daughter of Magdalene
A menstrual muse
A holy woman veiled in red
A mystic of the moon
And oracle of the womb
Singing songs that open portals
to dimensions both bygone and beyond
Decoding the wisdom
of this lineage of love
The voice of my womb
speaks in tongues that untangle
truth and dispel delusion;
Annointed between the brow
The pigment of pomegranate
Untaints my perception
Imbibing of this nectar;
Fragrant rose blood
intoxicates my meagre mind
and plunges me into
the heart of the Mystery
Deep earth draws me down
Magnetically and magically
And I merge with her
profound peace;
Her exquisite rapture
and wild wonder
I dissolve into the Goddess
Becoming Her
Disintegrating
This irresistible death
is my sweet unbecoming;
The most revelatory
remembering
