The altar of Love

🌹Last night, I didn’t sit at my altar
I sat at the mirror
I beheld myself
as the one worthy of worship and adoration

This very beating heart as the Divine
This body as sacred
This face – the Beloved

My heart cracked
And I wept
For all the times I turned away from her
From this Love
That is right here

And I cried tears of gratitude for this sweet,
Sweet homecoming

Meanwhile
The goddess on my altar smiled
And said
Yes
Worship Her!
Bow at her feet
Offer her flowers
She is the one Wondering,
Waiting,
Eternally patient,
for you to come home🌹
